Welcome to Northwoods Cabins, located in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. We are close to Tippy Dam and the Backwaters, the Big M (for cross country skiing and mountain biking), the North Country Trail (for hiking), Caberfae Peaks (for downhill skiing and golfing).

The Birchwood offers motel and cabin facilities and is a great place to take your RV. The Birchwood is open all year and while we do not have water hook ups in the winter, you will find our heated bathrooms a comfort in the cold.

Welcome to Northern Exposure Campground, Michigan's premiere "Up-North" Camping Experience. The campground is located in Mesick, MI on 300 wooded acres, including 2.5 miles of coastline on the Hodenpyle Pond.

The AuSable River is one of Michigan’s Wild and Scenic rivers. It provides excellent opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, tubing, rafting and wildlife viewing. The river from Grayling to Oscoda is all wilderness with primitive camping along the river. We offer trips ranging from 2-1/2 hours to 7 days.
