Stoney Acres Winery, a small boutique winery, was established in 1999 in Alpena, Michigan. The business began by providing beer and wine equipment and ingredients for the home beer and wine maker while the signature wines were being carefully produced from fruit grown by local farms.

Expect five days of festivities including a parade, Skerbeck Family Carnival, kid's games and contests, pancake breakfast, ethnic food, stages with live entertainment and the World's Largest Coffee Break. Enjoy a leisurely walk through one of Michigan's historical museums in the outdoors! Life size dinosaur reproductions, nestled among 25 acres of beautiful land provide an educational, entertaining and exciting change of pace. There are many photo opportunities, including a view from atop the pteranodon nest!

The AuSable River is one of Michigan’s Wild and Scenic rivers. It provides excellent opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, tubing, rafting and wildlife viewing. The river from Grayling to Oscoda is all wilderness with primitive camping along the river. We offer trips ranging from 2-1/2 hours to 7 days.

Located in northwestern Lake Huron, Thunder Bay is adjacent to one of the most treacherous stretches of water within the Great Lakes system.

The old-growth pines and hardwoods of Hartwick Pines State Park create a delightful contrast in the fall. Miles of biking and hiking trails line the 9,700 acres of protected land, offering plenty of ways to be active and enjoy the stunning show of colors. The Mertz Grade Trail is rated as easy and ideal for family fall foliage outings.

Explore the shipwrecks of the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary. The crystal clear waters and our large ‘glass bottom’ viewing wells allow you to dive the wrecks – without getting wet. During our 2 hour cruise you will experience the magnificently preserved shipwrecks and the scenic shorelines of Thunder Bay.

Once the snow flies we start snowmobile rentals in December and running through March, weather permitting. Get into the mud and join us during April through October's scenic fall colors with County Wide Adventures side-by-side rentals.
