32 Mile Color Tour starting downtown at the Cadillac City Park parking lot, head East toward Mitchell Street (away from lake) on Cass Street. At Cass/Mitchell traffic light, follow Cass/M-55 East all the way to M-66, approx. 9 miles. Turn left onto M-66 towards Lake City. Follow M-66 thru Lake City, to M-42. Turn left to go East onto M-42.

Enjoy autumns fall color traveling north on M-37 Old Center Road up the center of Old Mission Peninsula into Grand Traverse Bay. The route twists and turns over the hills of beautiful terrain and dotted with vineyards finally reaching the peak of the peninsula at Old Mission Lighthouse and State Park at Lake Michigan.

Just south of Ludington is a magical world of seventy foot sand dunes and evergreen forests. Here, burrowed amidst the Silver Lake State Park sand dunes, stands the spectacular Little Sable Point Lighthouse.

Take in the beautiful vista of the Mackinac Bridge, the north entrance to the Heritage Route. Spend the day at the 100+ shops in Mackinaw City. Bike on the 62-mile North Central State Trail past sparkling inland lakes and along the Lake Huron shoreline. Float down the 38-mile inland waterway from Lake Huron to Crooked Lake.

Just down the shore from Big Sable stands the Ludington North Breakwater Light, another charge of SPLKA’s and a partner with the City of Ludington. This 1924 light is also open for tours and tower climbs and boasts a vibrant green light from its tower.

Allegan County, Michigan is situated among the rolling farmlands, grasslands, forests, lakes, and streams of the southwestern portion of the Lower Peninsula. It is an area of incredible scenic beauty and historical significance, with many parts of the county existing much as they did 100 years ago.

Peninsula Cellars is a family run winery located on the Old Mission Peninsula, just north of Traverse City, Michigan. The region lies along the 45th parallel, halfway between the north pole and the equator. This gives the region its distinct micro-climate, that makes it perfect for growing high quality wine grapes.

Originally constructed in the 1940s (with construction interrupted by World War II), the bridge itself is 147 feet above the Cut River, and a generous stairway with 230-plus steps provides access to several trails along the river and to the Lake Michigan shoreline.

In 1918 our family built the Fruit House as a place to store and package fresh fruit for the wholesale market. We specialized in apples, but also grew peaches, cherries, strawberries, and raspberries. After wholesaling, we used the Fruit House as a packing facility and a retail outlet.



The fall color season in the Copper Harbor area rivals anywhere else in the country! Our mixed woodlands featuring a variety of deciduous trees blended with an abundance of coniferous species deliver a stunning color show in autumn. The “Tree Tunnel” US-41 coming into Copper Harbor is literally jaw dropping in the fall.

Deb and Dave Burgdorf have been making wine for over 30 years, and decided to make their hobby a business in 2005. Deborah Burgdorf has a M.S. degree in Microbiology with over 15 years of experience in fermentation, and Dave Burgdorf has a B.S. degree in Agriculture and 30 years of experience working with plants and conservation planning.

Visitors from all over the world come to see millions of tulips in parks, gardens and tulip lanes. The festival hosts 3 parades, music and variety shows, concerts, dinner theatre and over 1,100 authentically costumed Dutch dancers.

Brockway Mountain Drive is a secondary road that is an offshoot of Hwy M-26. The recommended “circle” is to take Hwy M-26 (Lakeshore Drive) west from Copper Harbor and enjoy lake views. Stop and take in Lake Superior at Hebard Park. The park also offers a nice picnic and grilling area.
