Each fall West Michigan gathers at John Ball Park in Grand Rapids for Octoboerfest! A festival the celebrates BEER, well not really. The celebration of Oktoberfest started in Bavaria (southern Germany) but has become loved all around the world as a celebration of good beer, good food, and warm camaraderie among friends.

Tired of battling the mall crowds? Why not bring your child to Rockford to visit Santa – all in the idyllic setting of downtown. Kids can give Santa their wish lists, and enjoy free hot cocoa and cookies!

12/14/2017 - 12/15/2017 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm, The Rockford Chamber of Commerce sponsors horse-drawn carriage rides each year so that visitors may enjoy the sights and sounds of the beautifully decorated streets of the downtown area.

Each 4th of July during the Sand Lake July 4th Celebration visitors are entertained by the Sand Lake Rodeo and event not to be missed!

Winter Fun For Everyone! January 25 - 28, 2018. Winterfest is a full weekend of winter fun in Grand Haven, Michigan during the last week of January. The snow is upon us and with Michigan’s winters being long and cold, this is a perfect time to get out and be active.

The jolly man in the red suit will be making an appearance in the Chamber’s Annual Santa Parade. The parade winds through downtown Rockford. The jolly man in the red suit makes Rockford one his first stops on his world tour. More than 60 floats line the downtown streets to welcome Santa Claus.

Grand Rapids Ballet Company, Grand Rapids Symphony and about 100 children fuse their talents to bring the classic story to life. After a sold out world premiere, The Nutcracker, re-imagined by Polar Express author Chris Van Allsburg, returns for two weekends at DeVos Performance Hall.

Share some holiday spirit with furry and feathered folks at John Ball Zoo's annual "enrichment" day. The event, designed to help zookeepers keep animals interested in their surroundings, allows patrons to donate food, toys and other items to brighten a critter's day.
