Jason Lummen pressed the apples at a local farm for his first batch of cider in 2002. After enjoying the success of those initial rounds of five gallon batches Jason purchased his first fifty-gallon fermenter; which his wife welcomed into the kitchen of their one-bedroom apartment in Heartside.

With humble beginnings as a cider mill in 2006 with a 5,000-square-foot building, Vander Mill began distributing their cider products in 750 ml. glass bottles in 2008 and in draft kegs.

Virtue Cider is a Michigan-based craft cider company that uses our expertise in modern craft fermentation and aging techniques to produce ciders that embody old world farmhouse styles. We partner with local family-run farms to find the highest quality heirloom apples for our cider.

Rockford Brewing Company (RBC) opened for business in 2012 by its founding partners, Jeff Sheehan and Seth Rivard. Although relatively new as a company, RBC’s team has over 15 years of previous professional brewing and business experience. Hudsonville Pike 51 is owned by Steve Guikema and Ron Snider who are also co-owners of Hudsonville Winery. Pike 51 Brewery is the new on-site brewpub that is finally here. This has been a dream for many, many years. Steve and Ron talked about this back in the 1990’s while doing their own home-brewing.
