We are a small, family-owned business with a big love for craft chocolate. Our bright green shop is located at the gateway to the quaint, picturesque village of Empire, MI nestled in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

2 Lads Winery is a 10,500 square foot facility located on 58 acres on the Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City, Michigan. We currently have 22 acres of established vineyards in three separate blocks that were planted in 1999,2001 and 2008.

Northern Michigan has offered the best of a vacation end point for three generations of Grossnickles. The Traverse City area provides the midwest with perhaps the best in hiking, swimming, boating, golfing, and a just plain relaxing atmosphere for all ages. And hence, was visited almost every year since the sixties.

The vineyard

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is located in Northwestern Lower Michigan along the eastern shoreline of Lake Michigan. The closest city is Traverse City, 25 miles to the east.

Peninsula Cellars is a family run winery located on the Old Mission Peninsula, just north of Traverse City, Michigan. The region lies along the 45th parallel, halfway between the north pole and the equator. This gives the region its distinct micro-climate, that makes it perfect for growing high quality wine grapes.

The Cadillac Freedom Festival is held annually the first weekend in July to celebrate our nations freedom and independence. Enjoy Live Music, Kid Carnival, Freedom Parade Downtown and of course Fireworks!
