Heikki Lunta Winter Festival kicks off with the lighting of the traditional bonfire at Tobin and Iron Streets. The weekend is full of fun outdoor events for the entire family including an Ice Fishing Tournament. Spend your evenings at local restaurants and pubs serving great food and drinks.

December 8, 2023

Celebrate the magic of the holiday season at the Annual ‘Winter Snow Fun’ Holiday Parade and Annual City of Marquette Tree Lighting. Bundle up with friends and family as illuminated floats, tinsel-strewn trucks and colorful carolers transform Third Street into a magical scene from the North Pole.

As a microbrewery, our focus is on providing a wide variety of beer styles in addition to fostering the local interest in the brewing of craft beer.

Saturday December 2, 2023

Christmas in Lights in Iron River is the first Saturday of December and features a lighted parade of more than 30 floats carrying 1000’s of lights followed by a stellar fireworks show.

The DeVos Art Museum presents ten to twelve exhibitions a year with an emphasis on modern and contemporary art & the permanent collection. The museum is open year-round.

Holiday Lasers on the Ore Dock will once again turn Marquette’s century-old Lower Harbor Ore Dock into the backdrop of a holiday light display. The show will kick off on Thanksgiving and run on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights through New Year’s Eve.

“The PASTY OVEN is a dream come true.” It started with Gene’s Mother’s recipe; which was used to open a pasty shop in Quinnesec, MI, near Iron Mountain. The Pasty Oven pastys’ popularity grew rapidly. The decision was made to build a USDA plant, so our pastys (trademark spelling) could be distributed throughout the world.

This fall and music festival is a free, family-friendly event featuring live music, kids games and crafts, trick-or-treating in the “haunted” campground, a spectacular bonfire, and a beer tent for the adult ghouls and boys.

Each year in April as the frozen grounds of Lake Superior’s shore attempts its thaw, Festival of the Angry Bear comes out of hibernation and takes over Spring Street in downtown Marquette. Modeled after some of the great beer festivals of Europe, the festival is a showcase of barrel-aged beer, live music, and delicious food.
