The Escanaba Cross Country Ski Trail, which is just under 7 miles of trails, can be accessed off of Comfort Suite’s parking lot or on North 30th Street. Skiers are welcome to utilize the pathway in Ludington Park which loops around the outer perimeter.

The City of Escanaba builds and maintains two outdoor neighborhood ice skating rinks at Royce Park and at the Webster School. Escanaba’s neighborhood rinks are supervised during scheduled hours. Both rinks have warming shelters with skate changing areas and restrooms. Rinks are lighted during evening hours.

The Michigan IceFest in Munising, Michigan features numerous clinics ranging from Rigging and Rescue to Top Rope Anchor classes.

Northern Sun Winery is a destination on to itself. Our vineyard is nestled in the fields of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, five miles from Lake Michigan and just outside the historic town of Escanaba.

Our new farm with the vineyard being established is located on 160 acres between Carney and Daggett in Menominee Co. To the older locals and some of the younger ones, the area we are is consider Talbot. One of those long gone towns along the railroad.

Michigan's Upper Peninsula State fair will be held in Escanaba at the Fair Grounds. Come and enjoy all the great events, entertainment and racing.

"Benny the Beard Fisher" is a troll sculpture installed at Northland Outfitters (8174 State Highway M-77, Germfask, MI, 49836) you can also see him while floating down the Manistique River in Germfask Michigan. the troll is about 15 feet tall with a length of nearly 35 feet seems to be watching the water.
