Lightfest at Hines Park in Westland

Lightfest features more than 47 giant animated displays and more than one million lights!

Merriman Hollow Area Lightfest features more than 47 giant animated displays and more than one million lights; it is the Midwest’s largest and longest light show. The Wayne County Lightfest runs from Thursday, November 21 - Tuesday, December 31 (closed December 25) with the entrance being at Merriman Hollow Park in Westland.

The hours for the Lightfest are:

Monday - Friday: 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Saturday/Sunday: 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM

The Lightfest offers five miles of colorful displays! Don't forget to stop at the Santa's Shelter for refreshments and photos with Santa at the end of the Lightfest, which is Warrendale Park. The Santa Shelter is open November 22 - December 23.

The address for Merriman Hollow Park is 7651 Merriman Road, which is on Merriman between Ann Arbor Trail and Warren Avenue in Westland.

The fee for the Lightfest is $5.00 cash per vehicle.

Toy Night Tuesdays will take place on December 3, 10 and 17. On Toy Night Tuesdays, visitors can donate a new unwrapped toy in lieu of paying the entrance fee.

The entrance for the Lightfest is at 7651 Merriman Road in Westland. The entrance is on Merriman Road between Warren Avenue and Ann Arbor Trail, 2 1/2 miles south of I-96.

Make sure that you stop at the Santa Shelter at the end of the Lightfest in the Warrendale Shelter to visit Santa and purchase some refreshments.
