The Community Tree Lighting ceremony always takes place on the first Friday of December. The St. Joseph High School Choir begins Christmas carols near the tree located at the corner of Broad and Lake Boulevard, St Joseph Michigan at 6 p.m. with the ceremony taking place at 6:30 p.m.

Costumed villagers prepare for the holiday season in the Village’s homes and shops. The Colwell Opera House presents live entertainment, and Santa Claus visits with the children. See model trains and craft demonstrations, and enjoy holiday music and unique shopping opportunities.

The annual Reindog Holiday parade is a great time for all. This event features dressed up pets and their owners in a variety of holiday garb. Be prepared to see all kinds of costumes from “Santa Bernards” to “Reindeer Rottweilers” – definitely a must-see event! The event also marks the arrival of Santa.

The Annual Holiday Light Parade is presented annually by the Williamston Area Chamber of Commerce, thousands of people come out every year to enjoy the parade and visit with Santa Claus. The parade will go east on Grand River Avenue, and continue to Taylor.

Santa Claus arrives in Downtown Holland during the annual Parade of Lights, escorted by 75 floats, trucks, antique cars, walkers and marching bands...all decked out from top to bottom in thousands of sparkling lights! This brightly lit holiday procession is fun for the entire family and a holiday tradition for the entire community!
Grand Rapids Ballet Company, Grand Rapids Symphony and about 100 children fuse their talents to bring the classic story to life. After a sold out world premiere, The Nutcracker, re-imagined by Polar Express author Chris Van Allsburg, returns for two weekends at DeVos Performance Hall.

3:00-5:00 - Santas Workshop in the Puddingstone classroom - Decorate Cookies with Santas Elves (The Saugatuck High School Culinary Arts Club) Cookies and supplies provided by New Holland Brewing.
The Coopersville & Marne Railway Santa Train returns with decorated, heated cabs and a 90-minute round-trip ride. Children can sit with Santa and receive a present, and hear the Storytelling Princess read "The Polar Express." The train, which seats 250 people and has an on-board bathroom, departs from the station in downtown Coopersville

Clinton Michigan draws tens of thousands of visitors to their little village next to the River Raisin in northeastern Lenawee County each fall. What began as a way to help local merchants attract business in 1973 has grown to a three day extravaganza!

Directions: Sugarloaf Mountain is 6-7 miles north of downtown Marquette on CR 550. Get there by taking Front to Washington, turn west and go to Fourth Ave. Turn north onto Fourth, which becomes Presque Isle Ave. At Hawley turn west. It turns into CR 550. Look for sign by parking lot. Free. Handicap accessible: no.

A festival to benefit Gilda's Club features 200 free and ticketed events at 50-plus locations throughout Grand Rapids. The 10-day festival concludes this weekend and features stand-up, improv, film, authors, community showcases, and more! For a complete list of events, laughfestgr.org.
The premier ice fishing festival in north central Michigan that happens Friday, Saturday and Sunday, on the last two weekends in January. The festival is held at the southern DNR boat launch, off of M-55 near the Pines theater and Pineview Golf Course.

The Plymouth Ice Festival will take place over three days and include ice carving competitions, food booths, and entertainment. Admission to the festival is free. Ice sculptures available for viewing 24-hours a day (weather permitting).

The Annual Northville Hometown Holiday is a festive community celebration that kicks off the holiday season. The season begins near middle November with the Holiday Lighted parade followed by the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree in Town Square.
Natural Tree Farm features White, Black Hills and Norway Spruce, and a number of concolor fir's . We also offer tree wrapping, fresh cut trees, and trees 9-feet and bigger. Open for the season the friday after Thanksgiving, and open weekends until Christmas. With appointments available during the week. 10 a.m to 5 p.m.
