Cooley Gardens belongs to the City of Lansing and is located just south of Lansing's central business district at Capitol Ave and Main St. Cooley Gardens is an eclectic garden, typical of formal estate gardens in the early part of the 20th century. It is composed of garden rooms enclosed by shrubbery, each with a different theme of planting.

The historic courthouse square in downtown Charlotte holds the 1885 Renaissance Revival Eaton County Courthouse. On the National Register of Historic Places, the courthouse is now a museum, featuring the restored interior, circuit courtroom and offices.

Dusty's Wine Bar offers lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. Dusty's features an award winning wine list served in a relaxed "Wine Bar"-Bistro atmosphere. Each year, Woldumar Nature Center - a private, non-profit environmental education organization - attracts some 40,000 visitors from across mid-Michigan.

In the past forty years the Michigan State Trust for Railway Preservation and its Steam Railroading Institute have grown tremendously, now housing two steam locomotives, two diesel locomotives, and a fleet of passenger cars, plus numerous pieces of rolling stock.
